Hi,

This is really a great improvement. Thanks a lot

However, I still have a couple of remarks:
- the relative path is missing. When we have some files with same filename in differents foldrsr, we cannot identify them
- the goal is to have the result in excel, to make operations. It's difficult to copy/paste the result when we have hundreds of files. Any ouput file will be helpfull (txt, csv, xml, xlsx...)
-When we select "Statistics->Active Projects", we only have the current language. (cosmetic)

Thanks again for your support

Regards,

JMV

Hello JM,

we have improved the add-on's "Statistics: Active Project" function to report each file and finally a summary for the project.
See: Release Notes... and Statistics Results...

You can download the new "Extra Functions" Add-On from our customer download area or from the "RC-WinTrans Demo" download site.
New Add-On Version: V6.4 (February 2013)

Maybe it would be a good idea to write the results directly to a text file because the output will be huge for hundreds of files?
Let us know what you think.

Regards,
Support, Schaudin.com
.
edited by Support on 18.04.2013

Hi,
Thank you but in RCW9, I don't see a way to have a complete report, with, for a project, all the statistics for each file.
I have project with hundreds of files and i cannot do the statistics manually for each file. This is why I'm looking for a way to get a full report.
The code should exist as it's a loop of the "extra functions->statistics file" for each files of an active project. Can you help me on this?
Thank you
Regards,
JM

Hello Stina,

RC-WinTrans 7: there is (should be) a script to count the total words and the translated words.
The script you can select and start on the "Scripts" tab view.

- use RC-WinTrans 7, open the tdb or mdb database file
- on the "Scripts" tab check if there is a script called "CountWords-ProjectFiles"
- press the "Run" button

Note: the word count includes word repetitions!
RC-WinTrans 7 does not have a word count without word repetitions.

Regards,
Support, Schaudin.com

Hi!
I work for a translations agency and we have received a quote request for translation of tdb- and mdb files. The client uses RC WinTrans 6.
I have Wintrans 6 and 7 and I'm now at a loss how to get a proper analysis of the files.

The files are partly translated and I can't seem to make use of the Trados translation memory the client has or even see
how many words that are translated and how many that are new. In statistics there only seem to be references to strings.
I'd be most grateful for any ideas that will help me, even just a little.
Best Stina
